Defamation Lawsuit Against John Travolta

2012 is not John Travolta's year.  After claims of him being a closeted homosexual who allegedly had sex with several masseurs and lawsuits against him for sexual misconduct, Travolta has now been slapped with another lawsuit.

This time, the lawsuit comes from Robert Randolph, author of "You'll Never Spa in This Town Again." Randolph's book describes Travolta's sexual exploits with different men at bathhouses in Los Angeles. Randolph, an interior designer by profession, is suing Travolta and his lawyer, Marty Singer, for defamation.

Travolta and Singer, he says, told the public that he was mentally ill and had spent time at a mental institution in order to ruin his name and credibility.  He also says that their PR blitz was successful because it convinced people not to buy his book.

Travolta's team issued a statement that read in part: ""The lawsuit filed by Robert Randolph is absurd. The suit is based on a privileged communication, and it will promptly be thrown out by the court." Adding, ""Mr. Travolta will aggressively defend himself against this lawsuit and expects to be fully vindicated when this meritless case is dismissed."

Randolph also spoke to Gawker in 2010 where he goes into great detail about what he saw Travolta doing in the bathouses.
