A new book released electronically details how journalist Paula Todd found the Canadian serial killer and child rapist responsible with her ex-husband for the murder of three young girls, including her own sister, living in the Caribbean.

The Globe and Mail reports that Todd writes in "How I Tracked Down an Elusive Serial Child Killer and Discovered a Mother of Three," about how she tracked down Karla Homolka. "Does the woman who killed three children now have three of her own? The irony comes crashing in." 

"Beyond the mailbox was a fenced apartment building. On the second floor, "I look through it into a tiny, tidy kitchen. There, bent over the sink, is a petite woman with light hair. She turns her face sideways to see who's arriving. Then she freezes ..."I have found Karla Homolka, and I'm not sure which of us is more shocked."

Homolka was convicted of manslaughter and served twelve years in prison because she stated to investigators that she was abused by her husband Paul Bernardo.  However, videos of the husband-wife criminals committing the crimes surfaced and showed Homolka to be more intimately involved in the sadistic murders than she had let on.  But prosecutors could not do anything with the new evidence. She ended up serving the more lenient sentence much to the outrage of the Canadian public.

Homolka lived in Montreal for some time but it is believed that she moved to Guadeloupe in 2007 with her lawyer's brother who she married. The two have three children and have a home-based business.  Homolka who has changed her name to Emily Bordelais is also rumored to be a school teacher.
