Whitney Houston's mother is not the only one who's been hard at work writing about the deceased singer. The gospel singer BeBe Winans is said to be writing a book that will be released on July 31. Winans was a close friend of Houston's and performed "I Will Always Love You" in February during the singer's Newark, New Jersey funeral.
The book entitled, "The Whitney I Knew" is expected to give a detailed account of what ultimately led to Houston's death. The friendship between the singers goes back decades and their families were also close.
Winans also just released a new album, "America America." But some online comments suggest that there may be people who see this move by Winans as opportunistic. Houston's mother Cissy Houston is also writing a book on her daughter's life, which will be released next February.
Whitney Houston was found dead in a Beverly Hills Hotel in February after an accidental drowning in the bathtub. She was 48-years-old.
