Two new teasers for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" emerged today, both sending one clear message—Katniss Everdeen is ready for a full-scale revolution to take out The Capitol. This time though, her new getup does all the talking.
In one motion poster, the girl on fire donned a red suit and cape, making it feel like she was a superhero, as she encouraged the people of Panem to join the rebellion. According to Entertainment Weekly, this motion poster first appeared on the official Facebook fan page of lead star Jennifer Lawrence.
Katniss stood on a stone carved into the famous three-finger salute as she stood domineering, her cape swayed by the wind making it look fiercer. At the end of the short teaser, fans were encouraged to wait for a special message, which will drop today at the film's Comic-Con panel, Comicbook reports.
In another teaser, which ComicBook said came from thecapitol.pn, the official teaser site for "The Hunger Games," showed Katniss in the same red suit that Cinna would have loved to see on her with a quiver of arrows slung on her back and a fierce look as she sat on President Snow's throne.
Reiterating District 13's objective, the photo was accompanied by a text that said "The Capitol Must Fall so We May Be Free," which makes it look like another propaganda, much like the short video teaser, that the Mockingjay started doing back in the third film to sow support from other districts.
The photo once again popped up on the official "The Hunger Games" Twitter account. Captioned, "Imagine Tomorrow. #Unite," the image bore the same aggressive-looking Katniss but with a tagline that said "The fire will burn forever."
Before these teasers for "Mockingjay Part 2" made the rounds, the Faces of the Revolution character posters were published, showing Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Cressida, Boggs and Finnick's austere faces in another bid to unite the districts against President Snow's oppressive leadership.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" is the final film in the franchise. Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film will stage the ultimate battle between District 13 and the Capitol. Here is the complete synopsis for the film via IMDb:
"With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends -- including Gale, Finnick, and Peeta -- Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games."
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" will hit the theaters on November 19.
