Twilight star Peter Facinelli is all set to make his writing debut with a fantasy novel for young adults.
Actor Peter Facinelli became a household name with his role as Carlisle Cullen in the popular Twilight series. Now, the actor is looking to shed his vampire image and try his hand at writing. Facinelli took to his Twitter account to reveal that he is currently writing a fantasy novel for young adults. The novel has been titled "After the Red Rain" and will be published by Little Brown later in 2015.
"I'm writing a YA novel, for Little Brown called #AftertheRedRain, w/@RobDeFranco & @barrylyga Info available at https://Peter-Facinelli.com :)," he tweeted Wednesday.
According to a Publisher Weekly report, the plot of the story is "set in a future world of environmental collapse and mass poverty, where a mysterious boy named Rose discovers he possesses inhuman powers that can irrevocably change the lives of everyone on the planet."
Facinelli has three children with his ex-wife Jennie Garth. The couple finally divorced June, 2013 after separating in 2012. The couple share custody of their three daughters.
Apart from his divorce Facinelli hasn't been in the news much, especially since the Twilight series came to an end. However, he does have a few projects in hand. He currently plays 'Rupert' in musical hit series, 'Glee'. The actor will also star in Tyler Shields' new series of underwater photography titled 'Submerged'.
