Paul Ryan To Write Book On State Of Conservatism

Paul Ryan, United States Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district and current chairman of the House Budget Committee has revealed his plans to write a book on the State of Conservatism.

Twelve Publishing House has offered Ryan a book deal scheduled for publication August 2014. The book titled "Where Do We Go from Here?" draws inspiration from Ryan's desire to "renew the conservative vision for 2014 and beyond."

"Where Do We Go from Here? will delve into the state of the conservative movement in America today, how it contrasts with liberal progressivism, and what needs to be done to save the American Idea. It will challenge conventional thinking, renew the conservative vision for 2014 and beyond, and show how it is essential for the well-being of our communities and the future of our nation," the publishing house said in a press statement.

Owing to the house rules, Ryan will not be paid any advance but will receive royalty for it. This is, however, not Ryan's first book. Previously he co-authored a book titled "Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders" with Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy. His new book was negotiated by attorney Robert Barnett, who also snagged deals for Barack Obama and George W. Bush's books.
