Robyn Chance explores the ABC's of China in her new book

(MMD Newswire) -- Robyn Chance and her family adopted their daughter from China. Now she taps into that experience with a planned series of children's picture books. Her first book in that series is entitled, C is for China. The book offers an opportunity for children and families to learn something new about the unique contributions Chinese culture has made to our world.

Robyn's illustrations and information draw from her years as a teacher and from her adventures in China. While in China she found herself engulfed in a rich culture. "When I returned from China, I was compelled to write and illustrate a children's book that really touched on some of China's history, mythology, language and character." She goes on to say, "I wanted my daughter to be connected to her heritage and to help ease her transition."

She uses ABC's, rhyme and culturally relevant images to engage readers.

Robyn is currently working on her next children's picture book entitled, Ewela's Bad Day. She currently lives in Olympia, Washington with her three children, yellow lab and two cats.

Buy a copy of this beautiful book and support organizations that provide loving care and help find safe homes for the legions of Chinese children who have been given up for adoption.
