Simon & Schuster Imprint announced Nan Graham to be the new senior Vice President and publisher of Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Imprint
Susan Moldow, the President of Scribner publishing house announced Wednesday that Nan Graham has been elected as the new senior Vice President and publisher of Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Imprint. Graham will report to Moldow.
"As if Nan hadn't amply proven how deserved this promotion is by her firm hand in shaping the list and staff and insuring the growth of the Scribner imprint over the last eighteen years, her performance of late surely demonstrates that she continues to exercise her singular editorial instincts, abilities and leadership qualities at the highest levels," said Moldow in a press release. "Her tireless work and shining insights for every book on the Scribner list have made Nan's contribution to the success of the imprint paramount."
Graham, has to her credit, the honor of being Stephan King's longtime editor, as well as edited the works of a distinguished list of authors including Don DeLillo, Anthong Doerr, Amy Hempel, Miranda July, Rachel Kushner, Annie Proulx, Frank McCourt, Dana Spiotta, Susanna Sonnenberg, Colm Toibin, Jeannette Walls and Kate Walbert.
Apart from these, Graham also boasts an impressive volume of work.
Her edited book, Siddhartha Mukherjee's The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer won the Pulitzer prize of General Nonfiction in April 2011. Another book that she edited, M.L. Stedman's The Light Between Oceans became a New York Times Bestseller.
