Alexis Bledel, who was the leading choice to play Ana Steele in "Fifty Shades of Grey" is not being considered too old for the part while Felicity Jones has expressed her desire to be part of the film.
Up until last week, Alexis Bledel was the top choice of viewers for the role of Ana Steele in upcoming film "Fifty Shades of Grey". However, suddenly the "Gilmore Girls" actress is being considered too old to play the part. Surprisingly, she has also miraculously been dropped from many popular polls voting for the role in the film.
Matt Bomer, who was also the leading contender for a lead role in the film has also experienced a similar fate and is now being considered too old to play the part of Christian Grey.
However, actress Felicity Jones has expressed her desire to play the role. "It would be very exciting," the Chalet Girl actress says at a Belvedere vodka bash. "I read the book and thought it was an interesting read," said the actress as reported by The Telegraph.
Jones is not bothered all the nudity the role requires and tells a reporter from The telegraph, ""It is something you consider individually with each project that you do, but clearly with this particular project it would be necessary."
Jones maybe in for some tough competition with "Pretty Little Liars" actress Lucy Hale has topping this week's poll of the viewers' favorite to play the role. Hale also revealed that she'd be more than glad to take up the lead role of the film.
. "I think every girl on the red carpet wants to play [Anastasia], to be honest. That would be freaking awesome. I'm really curious to see how they will turn [the book] into a film," the website quoted her saying.
