Robert Pattinson seems to be attaching himself to really popular films. The newest one: "Stars Wars Episode 7."
The "Twilight" hunk recently said that he would want a role in the upcoming "Star Wars" film after Disney announced that it bought Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion, according to PolicyMic. Disney will continue to make the popular sci-fi films, starting with Episode 7, which will be released in 2015.
According to Buzz60, Pattinson said that he would be interested in playing the role of Han Solo, which was previously played by Harrison Ford. He would actually be willing to play any role, even the least popular character Jar Jar Binks.
"I actually kind of like Jar Jar," Pattinson said. "I don't understand what the big deal is about Jar Jar." [WATCH VIDEO HERE]
Kathleen Kennedy will produce the Episodes 7, 8, and 9, and Oscar-winning writer Michael Arndt will write the screenplay for Episode 7 (he also wrote "Toy Story 3" and "Little Miss Sunshine"). Series creator George Lucas will not direct the films, but will be a creative consultant, according to WPTV.
Another rumor of Pattinson is that he could be a potential replacement for "James Bond 007" Daniel Craig, because Craig hinted that "Skyfall" would be his last time playing the British secret service agent, according to PolicyMic.
It seems that Pattinson has a lot going on right now. He even talked about playing Christian Grey in the highly anticipated BDSM-based/love story film adaption of E.L. James' steamy "Fifty Shades of Grey" novel.
"I am playing that part," he said like he was giving a serious answer during an interview with MSN and was asked if he would consider playing the coveted role. He added, "I also wrote the book." Then he laughed.
He even thought about writing a book.
Recently, the 26-year-old "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" star said that he would like to write a book.
"Surely something along the lines of 'Fifty Shades of Grey,'" Pattinson replied. "I would really like to do that and put a spin on it by inverting the casting roles: making the woman the one who is punishing the man. It would be so much fun. Something like 'Misery' ... but really he loves to be in that situation, you know?"
