The "Twilight Saga" is slowly coming to the end. However, fans are still hooked on the fact that some scenes were not included in the film and are looking to see the deleted scenes in the DVD.
Director Bill Condon recently spoke to MTV News about what extras will be on the DVD.
"There are a few scenes of the Volturi traveling around the world," he revealed. "There's one scene of Bella training that seemed to be redundant, so we took it out. Then there's a big speech out in the field that we'll see a rough version of one the DVD."
Condon explained that red-eyed vampire Garrett, played by Lee Pace, delivered the speech, which was also featured in Stephanie Meyer's book. However, more deleted scenes seem to focus more on Bella as a new vampire.
"It's Bella trying to become a bad-ass fighter and failing at it, so it's kind of funny," Bill added. "The only reason I miss it is there's this last roundhouse kick that Rob taught her how to do in that training scene."
Accoriding to the Examiner, a circulating rumor is saying that the DVD and Blu-ray release date for "Breaking Dawn Part 2" is set for Feb. 13, 2013. Fans can only hope.
During an interview with Movieline, Condon talked about some of the scenes and moments that didn't make it into the final cut, mentioning the speech again.
"I know fans of the novel are going to be disappointed in this, but Garrett has a big speech on the field, during which the mist comes at him and Bella stops it. It was great to do, and Lee Pace was amazing, but we spent almost a half hour on that field and to spend another five minutes doing something that was a kind of repeat of what she'd already done with Jane's pain... that was a shame, that was cut," Condon said. "And a couple of other scenes - we did a "Bella training to fight" scene, and that was fun. It'll be on the DVD. But it just came at the wrong time. Again, it seemed a little redundant of her learning how to use her shield."
Fans are probably ready to get their hands on the behind-the-scenes footage of that surprise ending, which was the fighting scene between the Volturi and the Cullens, the wolf pack, and the witnesses that came to stand by Renesmee as a half-human, half-vampire, not an immortal child.
The action sequence [SPOILER] was touched on in Stephanie Meyer's novel but was not written out. The movie replaced Alice's vision with an actual battle sequence, where popular characters, such as Seth Clearwater and Jasper Cullen, are killed by the Volturi. Watching the film, you would think that it was happening in the film, but it was only Alice's vision of what would happen to Aro if he would decide to fight the Cullens (he would die, along with all his witnesses and other Volturi members).
