'Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World' Book Costs Mom Blogging Job, Star Offered 'Naked Hosting' Gig by Porn Company Vivid

It's no secret Kate Gosselin is desperate to maintain the level of celebrity she gained from her TLC reality shows, "Jon and Kate Plus 8," and "Kate Plus 8," - "Dancing With The Stars" is enough proof of that. But after Gosselin recently lost her job blogging for deal-finding site CouponCabin.com, is she desperate enough to do porn? We may find out soon. TMZ has obtained a letter to the reality star from porn company Vivid Entertainment offering Gosselin a job as a "naked host" with its new Vivid TV division.

New Book Reveals How Mitt Romney and Barack Obama Use Science to Win

According to inside sources at CouponCabin who spoke to The New York Daily News, the website began to worry about its reputation in light of a tell-all book, "Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World," by Robert Hoffman, and finally decided to save face and ditch Gosselin.

Vivid Entertainment doesn't appear to share the money-saving website's reservations of tarnishing its name by associating itself with Gosselin.

"Dear Kate, We're so sorry to hear that Coupon Cabin felt you weren't 'a good fit,' but we think you'd be a terrific fit for Vivid TV, and we'd like to open that door for you," says Vivid CEO Steve Hirsch in the letter.

"You'd present our award-winning programming on-air, and our worldwide audience would no doubt appreciate your 'perkiness.' We think you'll have them hanging on to your every word," Hirsch continued.

The Vivid CEO promises Gosselin an impressive benefits package. She wouldn't be naked all the time --when fully-clothed she'd get to wear "erotic outfits" which Gosselin would get to help choose. Plus, Hirsch is offering a "flex schedule." So, there'd still be plenty of time to spend with the kids.

Hirsch closed the offer with another one-liner seemingly stolen from Bruce Vilanch: "We have binders of women who would love the job, but you're definitely our first choice." Yuck yuck yuck.

While Gosselin's lawyers successfully got Hoffman's e-book pulled from Amazon after only two days, the book has caused tidal waves of negative publicity for the former reality maven. And things don't look to be slowing down anytime soon; "How She Fooled the World" looks like the Exxon-Valdez of exposés.

Hoffman's book accuses Gosselin of a litany of crimes, but most notably, that she has beaten her children since they were toddlers. Hoffman claims he personally called Child Protective Services on Gosselin on two separate incidents, because she is "sick" and in "desperate need of mental help."

Hoffman claims he found secret journals that Gosselin used to write her books "Multiple Bles8ings" and "Eight Little Faces," according to Hollywood Life. In journals that Kate reportedly wrote "She was beating 2-year-old babies in diapers," Hoffman told Star magazine.

"I don't judge somebody for spanking, but what Kate wrote in her journal is just absolute violence," he told the magazine.

It's hard to say whether or not Gosselin will bite at Vivid's deal. On one side, you would assume she has more than enough money to need such a salacious gig.

Hoffman wrote as much in his book, alleging Gosselin earned at least $2,499,000 from the first five seasons of "Jon and Kate Plus 8." As The Huffington Post notes, that's far short of the entire Gosselin financial picture. The fame Gosselin attained from her reality shows also led to numerous paid endorsements, as well as her paid participation in "Dancing With The Stars."

Although, there's plenty to suggest she won't take the job, Gosselin is famously image-conscious. She's only barely admitted to having plastic surgery, saying in an interview she was one of the rare people who "de-age," and her lawyers couldn't get Hoffman's book removed from Amazon fast enough.

On the other side: "Octomom."

So, what do you think? Is this all just ploy for publicity from Vivid, or will Gosselin be among their "binders full of women" soon enough?
