Kate Upton is doing her thing regardless of what criticism she gets.
Known for her controversial "Cat Daddy" dance and being a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and her sexy GQ cover, Upton recently did a high-end fashion photo shoot for French fashion flossy magazine Jalouse, which she is also on the cover of the October 2012 issue.
According to the Huffington Post, the 20-year-old bombshell was very covered up, showing little cleavage.
"Inside, however, Kate goes full-on couture cool for Alexei Hay's camera, suiting up in thick wool Prada coats, Burberry hats with neck drapings, bicep-length gloves and (gasp!) tights. The whole thing reminds us of Upton's recent Vogue shoot: all bulky plaids and swimsuit-free."

According to GossipCenter, in an interview, Upton said, "It's funny, fashion shoots do not resemble at all swimwear shoots. Pose, I can do, but customer expectations are not the same. Everyone acts differently on the set. The bikini photos are for any American home. Fashion is for a unique group."
On posing for fashion:
"The world of fashion is a clique. What matters is not to be pretty, but different, to reunite all the characteristics of perfection, but in a staggered manner. This is what they want."
On striving for success:
"All girls want to become models, especially when you're in college and the other girls are hard and nasty."
Upton recently fronted the debut issue of ex-Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld's magazine CR Fashion Book.
Huffington Post reported:
"The black and white cover pic, snapped by Bruce Weber, combines Kate's multiple model identities into one lovely shot -- it's sexy and just a tad cleavage-y yet she's clad in a demure sweater holding baby chickens. (A second cover features Audrey Harrelson holding an infant.)"
Upton also made headlines in a weird short film for Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book, E! Online reported, "the blond bombshell is practically busting out of her summer dress as she shares the screen opposite some unusually cute costars: a litter of puppies and one lucky baby."
"The arty behind-the-scenes clip for the unicorn-themed photoshoot-shot by celebrated photographer Bruce Weber and titled "Hush Lil Baby, Don't You Cry"-also finds the 20-year-old Upton frolicking around a field with a hunky male model dressed up as a unicorn and playing with goats, baby chicks and piglets."
Upton has been surrounded by controversy about her body and how popular she has gotten over the years.
According to the DailyBeast, "As a Sports Illustrated cover model and the average heterosexual man's drool-worthy fantasy, Kate Upton seems like the ideal Victoria's Secret model. Oozing sex appeal from every orifice, the eternally meme-able Upton has proven she is marketable in every way-selling everything from bikinis to headphones. So a pairing with sex-savvy Victoria's Secret would seem like a match made in heaven. But no: 'We would never use [her],' said the creative mind behind past VS fashion shows, Sophia Neophitou, to The New York Times. 'She's like a footballer's wife with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.'"
With Upton's recent appearances in the high-fashion world, TheGloss reported that the French have taken Upton up "in defiance of the rest of the fashion world's rejection of her non-skinny body and conventionally pretty face. Perhaps in an effort to show everyone she's fit for editorial, Kate does a lot of stereotypical fashion poses in this one, specifically one generally referred to as "the empty stomach," or sometimes "the broken doll," depending on its execution."
