The news of Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson shocked the world, including die-hard "Twilight" fans.

Now, a viral video suggests that the photos are doctored and fake, and that Liberty Ross and her husband Rupert Sanders coaxed Stewart into faking the scandal so they can gain more fame.

The vampire couple split when shocking photos surfaced in July that Stewart was cheating with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Sanders. It was reported that the two were both extremely hurt and that Pattinson wasn't going to take Stewart back.

However, according to TheHollywoodGossip, a viral video shows the photographic evidence of the scandal were doctored, edited to appear as if Sanders and Stewart were making out in Los Angeles, when, in reality, neither star was even at the location in question.

"Stewart, of course, admitted to the affair within 24 hours of this report hitting the Internet. So why would she possibly play a role in the conspiracy?

Blackmail! What if Sanders and Liberty Ross were behind the scandal this entire time in order to boost their professional profiles? The latter did suddenly walk the runway at New York Fashion Week a couple days ago."

Evidence does show that Ross has benefited from the scandal.

According to Twirlit, before marrying Sanders, Ross, 33, "was a was a successful model - far more famous and successful, in fact, than her then-unknown husband. The story goes that the beautiful model gave up her career in Britain and moved to Hollywood to support her husband's dreams of being a big-shot director."

Now, post scandal, her popularity has skyrocketed.

According to RadarOnline, a source said, ""It's definitely what Liberty intends to push on with, she has caught the acting bug."

"Although the cheating scandal caused a lot of unwanted attention in her private life, it certainly improved her profile as an actress.

"She has started to earn recognition for her performances in last year's W.E. and this year's Snow White and the Huntsman, and more movie directors have taken note of who she actually is.

"The scripts have been flooding in, and she has already received audition offers on the back of Rupert's affair.

"Liberty is delighted that she's being finally recognized, she wants to pursue a career in the movies and is desperate to make more. She would of preferred if it had happened in a different way, but press is press.

Some commenters on E! Online spoke fervently about this.

One commenter said, "Yep I don't feel sorry for Ruprick or Liberty either because they seem to be milking the fame game out of it especially him by smiling and posing for the paps he is just another opportunist imo."

In response to the viral video, many agreed with the photos being fake.

"At the beginning of August, a friend of mine sent me a page from someone's blog,documenting how the pictures had been faked!! I have a friend from Japan, a college graphic arts major, who also told me the photos were faked....I'm really thinking I believe it!! This whole thing is so out of character...It took almost two years for Rob and Kristen to be photographed together...and here's Kristen, out in public, knowing she's watched constantly, caught in a steamy rendezvous with Rupert Sanders??"

"I think Kristen was set up since the beginning. Even if they aren't fake, she was used by a variety of people to gain publicity and fame."

"They are fake! You can see other pictures of her that were used to alter those photos. I don't know if her apology was real or not. If it wasn't on camera I don't buy what magazines say - they'll do anything for a story."

However, others thought they were real and felt that it was wrong to blame Ross.

"And I must add that blaming Liberty in any way is really sick and insensitive. So much for all the feminist blather about attackigng women. It's not ok to judge Kristen, but it's ok to judge Liberty? Her husband cheated on her with someone she knew and the photos are all over the place for everyone to see, including her kids. You should have some proof before you sink so low level to blame the victim."

"She admitted to the affair. Who cares if the pics were doctored."

Others blame Sanders.

One commenter said, "Rupert absolutely knew what he was doing. Take my word, I've been around and had few relationships myself. If there has to be a single person to point the finger of blame at it's Rupert Sanders."
