Many celebrities are attaching themselves to "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, whether it be talking about playing (or not playing) a role in the upcoming film adaption, or saying they haven't read the book or not.
"Fifty Shades of Grey," written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, masochism).
Actress Anna Kendrick, who is known for her role is Jessica in the "Twilight" series, is known as the latest star to be a front-runner for the lead role of Anastasia, according to OK! magazine.
She recently stopped by Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live!" and dodged questions about being attached to "Fifty Shades."
"No I haven't read it but um...no I haven't read it." Kendrick, 27, smiled in a teasing way.
One viewer who called in caught the actress off guard with her question.
The caller asked, "Who wouldn't want to be tied up by a hot guy, right?"
Kendrick looked bashful and laughed, saying "What!" like she was shocked.
"Total Recall" actress Kate Beckinsale, 39, recently told Hollyscoop that she hasn't read the book either.
"I haven't [read the book], so I can't possibly say," she said.
"The whole idea of that sounds very exhausting to me."
Indeed, fans constantly shouting out suggestions of who they want to star in "Fifty Shades" might be getting exhausting for author E.L. James.
James recently tweeted to her fans on Twitter that it's too easy for all this casting talk.
"I am not making any comments on casting the movie. No one is ruled out or in yet - far too early," she tweeted.
"Social Network" Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti have been confirmed for the producers of the upcoming movie, and recently informed fans that all actors and actresses are still up for the part, but they are only rumors.
"All the rumors on #FiftyShades are just rumors... No one has been cast in any role. We have to get a writer and a director first."
News surfaced on Wednesday that the Luca and Brunetti have picked four front-runners for screenwriters: Karen Croner, Dan Fogelman, Veena Sud, Kelly Marcel.
"American Psycho" writer Bret Easton Ellis recently revealed that he is no longer being considered for the film adaption on Tuesday.
"It's a very major disappointment to announce that I've somehow been taken off the list of possible screenwriters for Fifty Shades of Grey," Ellis tweeted on his Twitter page.
Stars such as Jessie Pavelka, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Hale, Channing Tatum, and Colin Egglesfield attached their names to the key roles of Anastasia and Christian.
